    The University Counselling Service is offering all its counselling online in Trinity term. Here we discuss the benefits of journalling, particularly in these trying times.

    Help with  accessibility for students 

    With much more time spent online this term, whether it be taking part in online tutorials and lectures, or studying with learning materials provided on Canvas and other platforms, it’s important that you are able to access these materials in a way that meets your needs.

  • More details published about Declared to have Deserved Honours

    Detailed information has now been published about the Declared to have Deserved Honours (DDH) outcome for undergraduate students - as well as the postgraduate equivalents, known collectively as DDM.

    The DDH is an existing outcome and the DDM outcomes have been introduced for the 2019/20 academic year in response to the coronavirus pandemic for students who are unable to take their final year assessments.

    Give us your feedback on studying remotely

    The University and Oxford SU are working together to get a better understanding of students’ remote studying experiences this term. All students – whether they are undergraduates and postgraduates - can now share their feedback about how online learning is going for them via a new Oxford SU online form.

    Mitigating circumstances process updated for COVID-19

    The Mitigating Circumstance Notice (MCE) process has been adjusted to take the impact of coronavirus into account.  A new self-assessment form is now available – allowing you to capture anything related to the pandemic that may have affected your teaching, learning, revision, coursework submissions and examinations, alongside any individual circumstances you believe may have impacted on you academic performance.

    Support for remote teaching in Trinity term

    Academics and professional staff have been busy during the Easter vacation making plans for Trinity Term teaching so that we can offer you an educational experience that is as close as possible to that delivered normally. Staff have been putting the right tools in place to allow a rapid transition to online teaching and assessment, where tutorials, classes and exams will be available online.

    Further guidance on open-book exams

    The guidance for students taking open-book exams has now been updated, providing more information about exam start times if you are outside the UK and extra guidance on using the Lens app for scanning content as part of your exam response. Read the updated candidate guide online. A short video is also available online highlighting key points to remember when preparing for and taking the exams.
