    As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, many students have been studying remotely since the start of Trinity term. It is important not to let your guard down, so we've created some tips to ensure you continue to keep safety and security in mind when studying remotely.

From online socials and club meet-ups, to digital debates and elections, to the rapid move to online teaching and assessment; you have collectively ensured that student life at Oxford continues in its usual spirit despite the distance between us.

    With much more time spent online this term, whether it be taking part in online tutorials and lectures, or studying with learning materials provided on Canvas and other platforms, it’s important that you are able to access these materials in a way that meets your needs.

  • More details published about Declared to have Deserved Honours

    Detailed information has now been published about the Declared to have Deserved Honours (DDH) outcome for undergraduate students - as well as the postgraduate equivalents, known collectively as DDM.

    The DDH is an existing outcome and the DDM outcomes have been introduced for the 2019/20 academic year in response to the coronavirus pandemic for students who are unable to take their final year assessments.

    The University and Oxford SU are working together to get a better understanding of students’ remote studying experiences this term. All students – whether they are undergraduates and postgraduates - can now share their feedback about how online learning is going for them via a new Oxford SU online form.

    Mitigating circumstances process updated for COVID-19

    The Mitigating Circumstance Notice (MCE) process has been adjusted to take the impact of coronavirus into account.  A new self-assessment form is now available – allowing you to capture anything related to the pandemic that may have affected your teaching, learning, revision, coursework submissions and examinations, alongside any individual circumstances you believe may have impacted on you academic performance.

    It is possible to form solid, personal connections online - even with a counsellor you’re meeting for the first time; and you can get just as much done as when working face-to-face.
