  • Open book exam

    Exams and assessments in Trinity Term

    There will be no conventional exams in Trinity Term. The arrangements will be as follows:

    First year undergraduates:

    The majority of examinations will be cancelled, and students will be deemed to have passed. The only exceptions are Law and Medicine, where assessments will be rearranged for professional qualification reasons.

    Second and third year (non-finalist) undergraduates, and first year MPhils:

    A dedicated page has now been published with detailed information for students about coronavirus (COVID-19)

    The coronavirus advice and support for students page is now available on the Oxford Students website.

    It includes a wide range of advice on teaching and learning, examinations and assessment and other aspects of student life. It will be updated on a regular basis, so please continue to check back frequently.

  • Oxford University Sport launches #StayInAndWorkOut scheme

    Oxford University Sport is expanding the #ActiveAtOxford scheme to include #StayInAndWorkOut. 

    In this response to the current national lockdown, Uni Sport will share workout ideas, tips and short exercise videos on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram

  • Medical students volunteer to help NHS fight coronavirus

    Oxford University final year medical students have volunteered to join the NHS effort to fight against coronavirus (COVID-19).

    24  medical students were deployed on Friday to the Emergency Department (ED) at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

  • Exam Schools Easter closure dates

    The Examination Schools will be closed from 5pm on Wednesday 8 April. The building will re-open at 8.30am on Tuesday 14 April. If you plan to submit work during this holiday period, the building will be closed for submissions delivered in person, by post or by courier. Submissions made via the Examination Schools post box will not obtain proof of submission.

  • Are we doing enough? Feed into our environmental sustainability strategy

    An unstable climate, increasing carbon emissions and accelerating biodiversity loss require urgent and immediate action. The Environmental Sustainability Strategy Consultation is now open for response until 14 April. The Consultation asks for feedback on many issues like curriculum, food, flights and investments. Please tell us what you think.

  • Graduate access: application fee waivers and support planned for disadvantaged UK students

    The University’s Education Committee has endorsed plans to encourage graduate applications from disadvantaged UK students.  

    Under the proposals, students who receive high levels of financial support at undergraduate level will be exempt from the £75 graduate application fee from the 20/21 admissions round (for 21/22 entry). They will also benefit from tailored support through the application process, including webinars and online advice.

  • European Union Settlement Scheme

    EU student? Come to a presentation by the Student Immigration Team if you want information about staying in the UK.

    The presentation will take place at the Exam Schools on Tuesday 3 March from 1.15pm to 2.15pm.

    They will answer your questions about applying and you can talk to an adviser individually following the presentation.

  • Attend Exam Wellbeing mock exam sessions this term

    If you're worried about your exams, you can familiarise yourself with exam venues and regulations at one the Exam Wellbeing mock exam sessions.

    You can reserve a place to attend these events via Eventbrite.

    If you have approved alternative arrangements for extra time or use of a computer these can also be trialled at the mock exams, please email [email protected] in advance of booking.

    If you’re a current Oxford student, you have the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Berlin.

    All you have to do is upload a photo to social media in the run-up to Valentine’s Day (3-16 February 2020) showing how you’re supporting the community. It could show you or other students taking part in volunteering activities, working at community events, contributing to an environmental project, or any other type of community engagement.
