If you're just beginning to think about university and are curious about what Oxford is like, read on. Some people think they might not be the Oxford “type”, but there is no typical Oxford student and no single Oxford experience and that's one of the most life-enhancing and liberating aspects of life here. We recognise that university is a significant financial commitment and we offer one of the most generous support packages for UK students of any UK university. We are committed to ensuring that no student is prevented from coming because of cost. Oxford spends over £11 million each year on student support, and around one in four UK undergraduates receives a bursary.

Oxford has no central campus but is made up of over 30 colleges and halls spread across the city centre and beyond. These academic communities are at the heart of Oxford's reputation and make it the very special place it is to live and study.
