The PCER Advisory Board

The PCER Advisory Board (AB) was established in 2022. It combines the previous Public Engagement with Research (PER) Academic Advisory Network and PER Advisory Group.

The Board is chaired by Professor Anneke Lucassen, who was appointed as Academic Champion for Public and Community Engagement with Research in October 2024. Their responsibilities are set out by their Terms of Reference.

The Board is a sub-committee of the University’s Knowledge Exchange and Impact Sub-Committee (KEISC). As Academic Champion for PCER and Chair of the PCER AB, Professor Lucassen sits on KEISC.

The central PCER team attends PCER Advisory Board meetings. They act as the secretariat, present recent work, listen, contribute to the discussion, and take advice.
