The Micro-Internship Programme: Michaelmas Term 2019/20
Applications for this term’s micro-internship opportunities open Wednesday 9 October, with placements taking place in Week 9 and 10 of Michaelmas Term.
What is a Micro-internship?
Micro-internships are short-term work experience placements (2-5 days), which take place at the end of each term and are full-time and voluntary. The placements are available exclusively to current, matriculated Oxford students.
What will I do?
The focus of the placement is to observe and assist with a notable project. There are a broad range of internships advertised through the programme across various sectors and involving many different skills. The project with which you assist may be self-contained or form part of a larger, on-going project – sometimes this may even be a project begun by previous Oxford interns.
Will my expenses be covered?
Whilst micro-internships are voluntary and unpaid, host organisations must cover interns’ local travel expenses and lunch expenses on production of receipts.
How do I get involved?
Simply sign-in to CareerConnect from 9 October to see what’s on offer this term, and make up to two applications. We have a variety of opportunities in arts and heritage, fashion, consultancy, education, not-for-profits and more. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact micro-internships@careers.ox.ac.uk.
The deadline for applications is noon on Monday 28 October.
