Autism, Sexuality & Gender Dysphoria
The Queer Studies Network and The Disability Advisory Service are delighted to welcome Dr. Wenn Lawson for a talk on autism, sexuality and gender dysphoria. He will offer research findings, personal anecdotes and strategies on understanding and coping with how autism affects experiences of sexuality and gender. He will focus particularly on the high instances of gender dysphoria within the autism population.
Dr. Wenn Lawson is a well-respected and highly knowledgeable expert on autism. He combines his lived experience insights with professional knowledge ranging from First Class Honours in Social Work to a Doctorate in Psychology. Wenn has been public speaking for more than twenty years and published his first book on autism, "Life Behind Glass", in 1998. There have been a further fifteen books to date since then.
