For Teachers
Choosing where to go to university can be a life-changing decision. We hugely value the role that teachers and careers advisors play in encouraging students to consider their options and make informed decisions.
To support teachers, the University provides a range of continuous professional development and learning activities, some of which is accredited. The CPD for teachers of students aged 16 to 18 relates to providing information about admissions, and supporting students applying to Oxford. Increasingly we are also working with Key Stage 3 and 4 teachers, helping with the development of curriculum support materials that will benefit a wide range of students. You can find out more about CPDs and other events for teachers here.
Jesus College also offers support to external agencies such as the National Association for Able Children in Education (NACE) by hosting conferences and delivering webinars offering advice and guidance to teachers and schools on developing skills for university. NACE members can find out about all NACE events here. For information on NACE events supported by Oxford Cymru, please contact the Jesus College Access Fellow.
We are also creating Hub Schools and Teacher Champions, which you can find out more about within the In Your Region area below.
