One of the best ways to decide if Oxford might be right for you is to come to one of our University Open Days, which this year are taking place on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th June 2023. Come and look round our beautiful university city, chat to staff and students and discover for yourself what life here is like. Explore all the information you need to plan your day on our Open Days pages. You will also find advice on travel and accommodation as well as details of the events being run by colleges and departments, all of which will be updated very soon.

Oxford for North East also run a free residential for state school students from the North East of England who have not yet had the opportunity to visit Oxford that coincides with the University's June Open Days. More information about this can be found below.

Students from the North East of England are currently under-represented at Oxford. To help make a change, we are Oxford for North East, an extensive community outreach programme offering bespoke and local support to students from 10-19+ years, their parents and their teachers.

We want to make Oxford University an achievable goal for anyone from the region with the academic talent and ambition to make this a reality.

The three Oxford colleges involved in Oxford for North East are Christ Church, St Anne's and Trinity, with support from Lincoln College. We can be contacted on: [email protected]. We also have a Year 12 student mailing list - so please get in contact!

North East Local Authorities are: Darlington, Durham, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Redcar and Cleveland, South Tyneside, Stockton on Tees, Sunderland.

Covid-19 Update: We have returned to running in-person workshops and talks in the region, as well as offering some opportunities to visit Oxford throughout the year. We are continuing to offer online sessions and activities alongside this, so as to be as flexible as possible.
