Come and look round our beautiful university city, chat to staff and students and discover for yourself what life here is like. Oxford for North East also run a free residential for state school students from the North East of England who have not yet had the opportunity to visit Oxford that coincides with the University's June Open Days. More information about this can be found below.
Students from the North East of England are currently under-represented at Oxford. To help make a change, we are Oxford for North East, an extensive community outreach programme offering bespoke and local support to students from 10-19+ years, their parents and their teachers.
We want to make Oxford University an achievable goal for anyone from the region with the academic talent and ambition to make this a reality.

North East Local Authorities are: Darlington, Durham, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Redcar and Cleveland, South Tyneside, Stockton on Tees, Sunderland.
Covid-19 Update: We have returned to running in-person workshops and talks in the region, as well as offering some opportunities to visit Oxford throughout the year. We are continuing to offer online sessions and activities alongside this, so as to be as flexible as possible.
