The Cultural Programme at Oxford University in partnership with Marshmallow Laser Feast present the UK premiere of Evolver; an immersive journey through the breathing body narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Cate Blanchett.

Direct from the Cannes Film Festival, and premiering for the first time in the UK, EVOLVER is an immersive virtual reality experience that pushes the frontiers of film, technology and medical science. This deep dive inside the human body takes you through the processes that sustain all life. Air travels from the mouth into the lungs, whirling like a tornado, before circulating the complex rivers and tributaries of our cardiovascular system and back into the natural world.

EVOLVER’s unique journey unfolds with narration from Cate Blanchett, alongside opening music from musician and producer Jon Hopkins. The score also features music by Jonny Greenwood, Meredith Monk, Jóhann Jóhannsson and Howard Skempton.
