Dr Leah Trueblood
About
Dr Leah Trueblood is a Development Fellow and Tutor in Public and EU Law at Worcester College. She is also a Postdoctoral Fellow of the British Academy and has been an Academic Affiliate of the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at the University of Oxford since 2018.
Dr Trueblood completed her DPhil at University College, Oxford in 2018. Her thesis was entitled ‘The Uses and Abuses of Referendums’ and funded by a Fellowship from the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation. Her research principally concerns the role of referendums in processes of constitutional change. Dr Trueblood is also interested in how constitutional referendums intersect with other topics such as voting, representation, and political parties.
Her research was cited in support of the findings of the Independent Commission on Referendums in July 2018.
