Julie Summers has written 14 works of non-fiction. Her most recent British Vogue: The biography of an Icon (2024) was published by Weidenfeld to critical acclaim. Julie’s best-selling book Jambusters inspired the ITV drama series Home Fires, which ran for two seasons in 2015-16 and had a regular audience of over six million.

Dressed for War (Simon & Schuster, 2020), is the biography of the wartime editor of British Vogue, Audrey Withers, and is in development as a drama series. From October 2024 she is Writer in Residence at Kellogg College and working on her next book, which focuses on the women of D-Day.
