Journeys into Community History (... and what's next for the field?)

Everyone is welcome at Oxford History Faculty’s new Community History Hub’s public event series which will explore the new directions in the field of History, which are being pioneered by community historians and academics working in partnership. The three events will take place across Oxford, and will be available to view online at a later date. They are free to attend but booking is encouraged.

At our first event, Journeys into Community History (...and what's next for the field?), a panel of community-based researchers and academics will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing historians across the UK; and what community history means for research, teaching and public understanding of ‘History’ as a subject. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with the panel during the second half of the event. We invite anyone interested in historical studies to join us for a rich, engaging discussion.
