An in-conversation between Giovanna Di Martino (UCL/APGRD), Dave Carey (Creative Producer / Chickenshed), and Marco Martinelli (Theatre Director/ Albe-Ravenna Teatro) on the topic of Inclusive Theatre and Community-Building.

Dave Carey has been working with Chickenshed, an inclusive theatre company, since 1987 and has written much of Chickenshed’s professional output including the critically acclaimed As the mother of a brown boy... and Crime of the Century. Marco Martinelli is co-founder of Teatro delle Albe and has run community-theatre projects in Italy, France, and London, involving amateur actors, school children, and young adults, using Aristophanes, Dante, and Cervantes.

Dave and Marco will be in conversation with Giovanna Di Martino, a specialist in Greek and Roman drama and its reception and Leventis Research Fellow in Ancient Greek Literature at University College London.

This in-conversation follows a performance of Aristophanes' Peace at Chickenshed Theatre on 1 November, to which all are welcome (though viewing the performance is not a prerequisite for attending the in-conversation). Visit Chickenshed's website: Aristophanes at Chickenshed to find out more.
