Academics in the Classroom

'Academics in the Classroom' is a two-day workshop that will bring Key Stage 4 and 5 English teachers together with early career academics. The workshop will feature a series of talks, round table discussions, and training sessions, with the aim of considering how English outreach and enrichment work is carried out in schools. Adrian Barlow (President of the English Association) and Professor Emma Smith (Oxford) are confirmed keynote speakers. The workshop is completely free of charge to attend; thanks to generous funding from the British Academy, we are also able to cover participants' accommodation, travel and meals.
